They are such show offs!
Nordic Rider and I took my girls Caleigh (Clydesdale) and Legacy (Gypsy Vanner) to a local schooling show on the 16th of this month. They both did really well and listened but they are such show offs! They know when they have a camera pointed it at them or when they're being watched so they try to be fancy prancy pretty girls. I rode Legacy and Nordic Rider rode Caleigh. We did 3 classes and then I took Caleigh in a canter class. The judge loved it and as Caleigh and I flew by and almost ran him over he jumped out of the way laughing. It was a fun time!
This show season is going to be busy. Legacy is showing rated shows and Caleigh starts back up in showing halter, well practicing for now. She was shown and won a bunch of titles (I have the list somewhere) from foal to 7 years old, then she was sold and I picked her up almost 2 years ago! Legacy hasn't been shown before but she loves it and she's picking up her training great!
Caleigh is being bred in April to BSG Taleisin for a drum baby in March 2012. He's a gorgeous proven Gypsy Vanner stud, aka Legacy's daddy. Everyone is extremely excited and speaking with Caleigh's breeders she's a wonderful mom, lets her humans mess with the baby as soon as it hits the ground and is easy to breed! My only problem will be finding a blanket to fit her through the winters. She has a history of being a very wide and low carrier. Her breeders words "Remember to open doors as wide as they can go because she waddles and swings her belly around at 8 months."
