My (not so great) ride from the show this weekend.

I had an IEA show this weekend and I happened to draw this Warmblood cross (I think he was crossed with a Friesian, but I can't tell. Any ideas?) Anyways, he was unlike any horse I'd ever ridden. I was in class 2b and he was used in 1a, 1b, and 2a. He refused for everyone. He was hard to get straight before the jumps and that's why he kept refusing, so I tried really hard to set him up strait. Needless to say even though I avoided refusals, he had a jump unlike I've ever ridden before!

I've ridden a ton of horses, and never have I been on one that jumped so huge! I almost got jumped out of the saddle at every jump :-( That combined with my nervousness (I was shaking before warm up) my nerves showed in my riding, I was very tensed up. Along with him breaking to a trot several times I did not place. I've never ridden this bad at a show ever, I'm usually very calm. But I did redeem myself in the flat class :)

Anyways I think it made an interesting video.
(ignore the title, my boyfriend named it..)

Enjoy!

Def looks like a friesian cross from his trot.

He's cute! Those jumps look much too small for him. :p

Anyway, thats the fun of showing EQ team! You gotta do the best with what you are given.

My lord. I'd get spurs and kick the crap out of that thing. It looks like he's tired, not so much being bad? I don't know, I wasn't the one riding it. I did IEA for a year, and I liked it. I got stuck riding the puke horse's but it was fun seeing the other team try to ride our lesson horses!

One of my best friends rides on the IEA team. Seems interesting. Despite the horse's quarries, it was a nice ride :D

Hmm not so sure he was tired, it was only his third time out! I think I was his last ride too, but as I was walking out on of the officials was like "oh that was his best ride all day" too bad I didn't place. oh well.

Hahaha I've never used spurs in my life (Shameshame) but I had a stick. It was a dinky little bat though, I nearly forgot I had it never used it. After my warm up (nearly fell off over the first warm up fence) I just wanted to live
