Need Advice on Boots for a weird spot

My TB peeled all the skin off both of her back legs this past summer while cast in her stall. She exposed the bones in a couple of places from both back hooves to about 8 inches abover her left hock and just above the right hock, and exposed an artery.

She has thankfully made it through 100% sound and the vet is very happy with how she has healed. However, she had quite a bit of proud flesh growing on her right coronet/pastern that had to be removed and has left some scarring that is lumpy. Her left pastern is a little bit thicker than her ankle now. The problem is that she is cutting herself on that pastern almost everyday in turnout and whenever she is ridden. The vet said to leave it and let the skin get stronger on its own, but she a very high strung horse that is easily distracted and I feel like part of the problem with her while being ridden is due to discomfort in the pastern. I've tried a few different kinds of boots, but none of them cover that area while allowing free movement of the joint. Any ideas?

These may help:

Thanks!
Have you ever used them? It would be nice to know how big they are and how well they work, her pasterns are kind of huge now.

I do actually have a pair. They're out in the barn and it's 10:40pm & 20 degrees right now, so I can measure them for you... tomorrow ;)

I haven't actually used them, they came with a set of brushing boots I bought off of ebay. But, they're a Nunn Finer product so I'm sure they're awesome!
