Sheath cleaning...

Okay, so now that I have figured out how to get Sonny to drop, I canceled the vet's appointment to get his sheath cleaned, so I'm going to do it myself. I know the basics of how to do is....clean all the gunk out, get the bean out...but I've had some friends tell me to use baby oil...some said dawn dish soap....and others. Is there anything I should apply to many hands (well my gloves haha) before I clean his sheath...or anything I should clean it with besides water?

We generally just mixed up a very small amount of liquid hand soap with alot of water and used wads of roll cotton to clean with. Then rinse thoroughly.

NEVER USE DAWN DISH SOAP. if you use ANY dish soap which i don't recommend, it should be ivory. you'll cause terrible dryness and irritation with Dawn. use a cleaner made for sheath cleaning or use mineral oil.
