what can I do to stop "saddle" rubs

I have really sensitive skin...mainly on my legs...and lately I've been getting saddle burns or rubs (whatever you want to call it) when I ride. I'm using a Blue Ridge western saddle and I've ridden in it for a while with no problem, but now all of a sudden it's been rubbing my legs raw.
Today while I was riding I had to take polo's (yes...horse polo's) and wrap them around my legs so they wouldn't hurt.
I'm not wearing shorts (not wearing jeans those days either). My legs will literally be all blood red and some parts appear like they were bleeding.

Anything I can do to prevent this? Anyone have had this problem?

It really only happens when I trot or canter...doesn't happen at all at a walk. My legs aren't moving (or I try not to have them move) when I trot or canter (I try t keep my legs glued to the right place).

Do your grip with your knees?

I honestly don't know what to say other than wear nice thick pants, sorry... (breeches have extra padding around the knees...)

Chaps!!

lol.

Chaps should give you the extra padding. You can get full chaps that cover your lower and much of your upper legs, or you can go for half chaps that are just for the lower legs.
They should be stocked at any saddlery/ horse supplies store.

I'm gripping with my whole legs so my legs don't move around.
But it isn't my knees that are getting rubbed...it's the sides of the lower leg and upper legs.

I can try chaps...but I hope they aren't too expensive
