Hey everyone. We started a new thing this winter and bred a litter of Goldendoodles. The mothers are Golden Retrievers and the father is a Standard Poodle. We made sure that we ran all the necessary tests on them. The sire comes from an excellent background with his mother being an AKC agility champ. One of the mothers is OFA certified but the other wasn't old enough yet. Most of the pups are CKC registered.
However, we can't sell them. I am not sure what we are doing wrong. The owner of the stud dog breeds Labradoodles and sold all of hers for $1500 a puppy! No one wants to buy ours for $250. They are completely healthy having their dewclaws removed, shots, and dewormed. They are family raised and great dogs! The one we are keeping is already house trained and is learning commands so fast. Needless to say, this will be the last time we breed dogs. If you know anyone who wants a great dog, please send them my way.
For pictures and more information about the breed, check out our website, http://www.jidranysrestfarm.com and for some horses for sale too. We are running out of ideas as we have advertised numorous places and our vet bill is sky high right now. Thanks!
Sorry your having trouble selling your pups. I know from experience (used to breed scotties) that its always a gamble whether you will be able to market your pups. If all else fails drop your price, and cut your losses. I used to presell mine before I even bred. Theres always a few pups not spoken for though that you pray will go to a good home.
