Hard to believe he's the same horse....

I've been spending some time moving pics around on the 'ole computer, and came across an old picture of Dancer when we first brought him home.
Boy, he has come a ways since then.
Not just his mane growth, but his whole physic has improved.

I have to share his short story, kind of funny...
When we went to look at getting our little pinto, Me Jo, they would not sell him with out his buddy, Dancer.
My hubby agreed, on the terms that I train him to drive, and then we sell him. (of course I never had any intentions of following through on that!)
Now my hubby is completely attached to Dancer and wants him for his own cart horse.
Silly "boy"!

Any body else have a "before & after" they want to share?

At the end of last fall we had gotten him to the point where we hooked him up to our training chariot.
He did just wonderful!
So we are anxious for all this snow to melt to start up again this year.
Give him a refresher, and then away we go!

(I say this and cry:sad:, as we have gotten another foot of new snow since Saturday, and it is suppose to continue for another 6 days )

Quite a difference! Good job!

Serg5000 03-01-2011 09:53 PM

What exactly do you do with a horse of this size?

AspendaleFarm 03-01-2011 10:13 PM

Inexpensive pasture buddy, pet, cart horse, saddle horse for smaller children (if dead broke), pony rides, showing. They're also used like seeing eye dogs or something, so I've heard.

What else have I missed?
