Fat horse= saddle sliding forward?

My horse has a big belly and my saddle always slides forward because of this and rubs the hair back. I remember being told if this happens you like only use the first two or last two billet straps for your girth. Does anyone know any tricks to fix this?

If you rode western I'd say get a crupper. Don't know if thats proper with an english saddle. Are you sure you aren't placing the saddle too far back to begin with?

English saddles can use cruppers too. I'm not sure if you can do much for this with fastening certain billets, but cruppers will certainly work!
