Ranch Job
Hey yall, well for those of you who don't know, For the last 2+ weeks i have been lookin for a Ranch job. I am tired of my current job do to the fact that i don't get paid enough and i really just dont like the job. So after i called 6 ranches yesterday, which none of them called back after i left a message, 1 however did call back but i missed there call.. Well anyways i went up to the ranch that called me today and talked to a lady there.

She told me that yes they where hirin but the owner was not there at the moment. So she kinda took some of my information, and then she gave me a tour and abit of information about there ranch. Well she told me that this Ranch only had English horses, which i quess is fine with me.. and it was a nice place and all.. but i am not sure if i should work at this one or not.. i mean i am gonna talk to the owner next week. For some reason i am havin doubts about workin at this one, I mean i dont mind the work or nothin.. but that fact that they only have English and i am a more Western kind of rider.. hmm.. idk.. whats your guy's thinkin? Should i go with this one, or maybe keep look but keep this one in mind?

I don't see any problem with "job shopping" for a while - tell them you're intersted in the position, but you have a certain commitment at the moment that makes you unable to commit 100% at this time, but you'll be able to tell them a solid "yes" or "no" in X amount of time.

Good luck!

Hey Brandon!! :D (I'm back ;) )

I would look around for say another...month or so? I mean you have to give 2 weeks notice at your job I would continue looking around for while. If nothing else comes up then take it and try it for while, you never know, you might really like it.

Hope it works out for you! :D

If you just started looking for a job, looking around some more might not be a bad idea. The job description won't change to much from english to western but it will affect you if you plan on riding there or boarding. You have got nothing to lose so go for it. Go talk to the owner and take a second look at the place.
By then you might have gotten more call backs and you will have had more time to think about it.

Good Luck!
