What is his color?
Dont know paint terms too well...what color would you say he is? His ad said he is a Chestnut Overo....what would you say? Thanks!!
I was thinking minimal white Paint? LOL I have no idea!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks
Yeah, APHA would classify that under the generic term "overo." I don't think I'd even call him minimal, since he's pretty loudly marked. Sorrel base color (chestnut is basically the same thing; just a matter of semantics). I'd guess him genetically at frame/sabino, but those individual pattern genes aren't my area of expertise.
The only reason I was thinking minimal is just because as far as markings over his body...he really doesnt have a whole lot(IMO) compared to other Overo's that Ive seen....but like I said, not familiar with Paint markings what so ever!!
Thanks for the post!!
The APHA woukd just call him a sorrel overo. But he definitely has frame. I'm not the best with sabino, but he might have it based on his leg markings.

Not minimal in the least. :-) But yes, is a sorrel/chestnut overo.
Thats what it said on his ad....thanks!!! Just double checking!!
Looks like a sorrel overo paint to me. :) Very pretty boy
Congrats! He is so pretty. Sorry that I do not know alot about colors.
He is gorgeous! (And I concur with sorrel overo)
