I have a dark bay, how can I take a picture of him without getting red eye?
I have a Dark Bay, and he has brown eyes. I enjoy photography very much, but when I take pictures of him, ethier his eye will look blue (with the flash) or It will look like he doesnt have an eye (without the flash)... do you have any suggestions? (example below)
There are some programs that come with cameras that get rid of red eye. (Called "red eye reduction") But I have no idea where you could get a program like that. Maybe take pictures in places that have better lighting if it's an option. I usually take my horse's pictures outside, or in an arena that not only has lights, but the large doors often let light in aswell. But some times the reflecting is just inevitable with the flash on. Sort of like this picture, where there is good lighting but Moe's eye still manages to reflect back blue.
I have a Sony A100. It has a "red eye reduction" function.
If your camera does not have this then you're probably limited to removal of the "red eye" using a photo editing program.
