tall boots So my parents got me tall boots for christmas two years ago, but they don't zip or have ties in the front. Are they still okay to show in for jumpers? |

okay i thought they were more for dressage. thanks for your help! |
back in the day when i went to shows (both schooling and rated) there were girls in the jumper ring who wore dress boots. of course this is also 10+ years ago. haha |
haha yeah i think the store they bought them from the guy new i was a jumper so im not sure. I know i can get zippers installed if i need too, but my old trainer said he had never had boots with zippers before either |
Zippers have nothing to do with whether you are doing hunters jumpers dressage etc. Zippers are a preference thing for getting them off and on easier. Dress boots are typically for dressage but there is nothing wrong with using thEm in jumpers. Field boots with laces may be more traditional for hunters. But either is fine for jumpers |
yeah i know zippers doesn't have anything to do with that, but they might be helpful cause they are pretty tricky to get on and off. lol. but thanks for your help! i was worried if they would be okay in the jumper ring |
jumpers will show in either dress or field boots and i have seen people in either at major shows. |
okay! thanks for your help! |
Dress boots are always OK in the ring, be it hunter, jumper or dressage. And actually, field boots are more of a trendy thing within hunters. Back in the day, they also showed in dress boots. |
