Horse fur

Hi, I have a question about my horse's fur. It is a bit dry and not quite shiny or smooth. I know that it is just turning into spring and horses about everywhere are shedding their winter coats, but I am just wondering if this is normal for this time of year?
Even if it is normal, do any of you know what healthy foods, supplements, etc. I could feed my horse to help her coat?

Thank you!

biotin is good for coat and hooves

If you have the money to pay for a ready made supplement, I just started my horse on SmartPak's Omega Horseshine and it's already starting to bring the glow back into her coat! :)

Omega Horseshine - Horse Skin & Coat Supplements from SmartPak Equine

Oh and by the way, she is a PICKY eater but she LOVES this stuff!!! Licks her feed bin clean!!!

Also sunflower seeds helps and linseed :)

Yeah linseed was the other thing the SmartPak people told me to try if the Horseshine didn't work or if I wanted a cheaper idea of something that may work :)

Any type of oil will work. I used Vegetable oil and it was great!

Thank you all for so much feedback! I'll check out everything you guys listed. Just for info, how would you apply the veggie oil or any oil to your horse?

THANK YOU

You can put it in their feed.

I like smartpak's smartshine. Conditions the coat and strengthens hooves. No more dry skin! Only $10 a month US.
