does he look skinny to you?
on the critique forum someone mentioned that Sonny should gain a few pounds...to me he's always been kinda chubby.
He's been getting 4-5 flakes per feeding (he's fed twice a day) and a good ammount of grain 3 days a week.
Do you honestly think he's skinny?
these pictures were all taken on the SAME day...yesterday April 24th. Some where before I rode him...some were after
He's not that bad. But I do see ribs, so he needs to pack on a few pounds.
i saw the other post, but in these he does look like he could gain a little bit.
could it be possible that either a. it's just how his coat lays or b. that he puts the extra weight elsewhere?(not sure if that's possible in horses, but just a thought)
if he's putting on weight elsewhere, then I can't really control where the weight is going.
Here are some older pictures of him...that might help a little bit
Those were taken back in Febuary
These two above were taken in March
And the two above were taken 1 week and 1 day ago...he is wet and I don't see any ribs in those pics...I can post more if you'd like
Other than the ribs is there anything else that making him look skinny? or just the ribs?
I actually wouldn't call him skinny, because his back is not bony although you can see ribs little, but looks like he may need little more weight or muscles on him.
He's a little ribby, but other than that he doesn't look bad. Could maybe use a few pounds. He actually looks pretty good in your bath pics.
He's not that skinny, I think he's an OK size. Although, putting on a few pounds wouldn't hurt. :D
Personally i think he could use to gain a bit... He's not bad off or any such thing...just as others have said..He's a tad ribby.
If you plan on riding a bunch this summer I'd pump him up a bit. 8)
He needs more muscling and that will give him definition, it just looks like he slightly has a hay belly.
I will have the barn owner give him a cup full of grain a day to hopefully put some weight on him...and to give him one flake more.
