Is she gaining weight?

It's now been a week since the horses have been on their new grain called Ozark Trails 14%. It is 14% protein, 2% fat and 22% fiber. It is a complete feed and we had 20 square bales delivered Saturday so they've been getting a bale daily. They'll be put in a smaller area once I put up another strand of wire to let the grass come in real good.
She's getting about 6 lbs of the feed per day with a good dose of a fat supplement added that contains wheatgerm oil, soybean oil and vit. E.
She's not being worked at all currently. She has until this Saturday then I'll slowly work her and see how she does. She hasn't been worked since she colicked, so about 2 weeks ago this Friday. She's on pasture 24/7 but the grass is very sparse right now and the hay is last year's but it's good clean hay and we'll be getting fresh hay later.

This is her the day, maybe 2 days after, she colicked, so almost 2 weeks ago.

And this is from yesterday:

She was dewormed with Ivermectin in January and I'm going to deworm next week with either Pyrantel p. or Fenbendazole.

Personally, I don't see much of a difference. It might help if you have her stand on level ground, since she is standing uphill in the first picture and downhill in the second. Her butt looks different because of this. I wouldn't worry yet though, if it has only been a week, you probably aren't likely to see much of a difference. I would give it a month or even more and then compare pictures again :)

i agree, your probably not going to see a difference in just a week. Also if your concerned about if she's gaining weight, record her weight with a weight tape every week or so and see if she makes progress. I wouldnt be worried about it though. Also not trying to judge or be rude (and it could be the way shes standing) but from the 2nd photo she looks like she needs trimmed (her hooves look long). But it might just be me ;).

It's not rude or mean ;) I know she needs trimmed. her back hooves are ok, but her fronts need trimmed up. I'm going down to mess with them here in a moment and I wanted to get "before" pics and "after" pics of her hooves.

I don't think she looks very different. But I admire your goal of wanting her to look different, it just takes time and a farrier. :)
