NJ - 6 yo TB gelding for sale
Digger is steadily coming along in training and likes to have something to do.

If we're going to get old school terms going - he's a "blood bay" with a star, LH pastern, RH spots on coronet. Clean, sound legs, front shoes only - can go barefoot if desired. Good ground manners - loves to be fed cookies and carrots, enjoys being touched and beautified, and really enjoys his massages! He gets a natural shine to his coat, especially during warmer weather. Cross ties, lunges, clips, bathes, my farrier and vet love him! W/T/C, can do auto lead changes, started over small fences. Digger really seems interested in the concept of jumping. Hacks out alone or in a group. UTD on shots, negative Coggins, dental, worming, and on a regular shoeing schedule.

Digger is bred back to big racing bloodlines. He's by Allen's Prospect, one of the leading stakes sires today - with Smile, Mr. Prospecter, Gold Digger, Native Dancer, Bold Ruler, Man O War, War Admiral, Nashua, to name a few... Not that it matters because he's a gelding - but it's interesting to know.

Digger does need work on trailering, he loads and hauls but hasn't learned to 'enjoy the scenery" yet. He can be a little hot sometimes, so he's not for a beginner rider! Needs retraining into your direction. Nervous in new places but he's getting better. Haven't quite figured out the magical solution to make him fat yet - he's on 14% sweet, beet pulp and just started Fat Cat.

This horse likes having a person all to himself! He really seems to buddy up with his person and likes a confident rider that he can trust. Sweet, sweet guy and full of personality!

You have to see him to appreciate him and to see if he's a good match for you.

Only looking to sell to find a prospect for upper level eventing.... Digger's going to take more time than I want to event at prelim+.

Please e-mail at with any questions or call 609-420-9185 to arrange an appointment to see him.

Priced at $2200.

Located in Elmer, NJ at Transitions Farm.

More pictures coming soon.

Digger went to his first dressage show and was very well behaved, scoring a 67% at walk/trot. For being his first show, I couldn't have been more pleased.

Liked being braided and fussed over, stood like a gentleman, and behaved very nicely and when put to work, he rode nice.

The judge really liked this horse.

Come see him today and make an offer.

How tall is he? Was he ever raced?

Painted1 06-01-2008 01:24 PM

He's 15.3 hh. He was raced, I got him off the track. He was too slow and only ran in a few races. He has clean legs and is sound. Digger has had plenty fo time to quiet down, he's been OTT since Aug. 07.
