Do Brands Affect Placings In The Showring
so in your ag shows and royals do brands affect how your horse is placed?
i have a chestnut tb with white brandings and was wondering whether he would get marked down for them when i start showing him?
Hi there! As far as I'm concerned the brandings shouldn't cause any trouble for you. Good Luck when showing him!
Depends on the judge and the class.
Herein the UK they are not supposed to mark down for freezebrands. Infact Freezebranding is encouraged by the breed societies. In practice however you do get some judges who will mark you down heavily for it.
thanks guys!! :)
they shouldn't mark you down it on the horses perfomance and you can't help that your horse has one
:lol:I do alot of showing and unfortunately judges like what they like, you can get a judge that dosnt like markings i have judged classes and dont place them if they have uneven markings ie one white sock etc as that dosnt appeal to me and have known many judges do the same which really shouldnt be!!! it should be on conformation movement etc good luck and sock it to them
Especially in halter, this kind of stuff is a matter of judge's taste. You aren't SUPPOSE to be marked down for brands or scars, but you very well can be.
Eddie moves well, has presence, surely he will not get marked down from a little white mark on his shoulder.
