So I know in the past (At least here in Jersey) that Coggins were good for 2 yrs. Now I have heard they are only good for one.
Is this true? It's no biggie I just thought of it because Phantom is getting his coggins done in a few weeks.

Here in my area, they are only for 1 year as well. How does the State keep track of the infections and where the mosquito's origionate from, if they do this only ever 2 years?

Mine have only been good for one year since I got into horses as a child. Really, the risk to contract that disease is always there, so getting tested once a year is a smart thing (except in rare cases)

In Missouri they are only good for 1 year, I've never heard of a two year coggins.

Hmmm interesting. Maybe my old barn stretched the truth a bit with me. Because when I was there they said coggins were good for 2 yrs and now that I moved to my new barn they told me coggins are only good for 1yr.
Edit: just looked it up and it said 2 yrs for transport 1 yr for shows in Jersey?
I'm wondering why my old barn told me 2yrs if we go to shows?
