Black and White Tobiano TWH Mare for sale
I have a registered TWH mare for sale. She will be 4 yrs old later this month. She can also be registered SSHBEA if you wish.

We live in MD but she can be trailered very easily. We brought her to MD from KY last year with no issues. We can trailer her on the east coast for a buyer as well.

Her gait has been described as if she was "floating on a cloud". Very very nice mover. She gets along great with other mares, geldings and mini's. She is not the dominant mare type at all. Easy going.

Stands for farrier, brushing, longes in roundpen, stalls fine, etc. Trailers just fine, even long distances dont bother her. Very easy keeper.

She has been ridden on trails over various terrain with no issues. She has been ridden western but being this young, there should be no issues with riding her english. She split reins.

I have been working with her doing natural horsemanship ground work and she responds quickly & learns fast. I have been impressed with how fast she learns what you are asking her to do.

She hasnt been ridden in a few months. I have a back injury and my balance is way off & I dont feel that I can safely ride anymore without further injury to my spine. I will no longer be riding horses. My husband already has "his boy" so sadly, this young beauty needs to find a new home.

She is an intermediate horse because of her age.

It's breaking my heart and I have been crying for two days now.
I just cant risk being in a wheel chair - and my back is just so bad that I am foolish for thinking I can safely ride.

The Doctor wanted me to have surgery on my spine to put a pin in it - he said I can be paralyzed if it continues to slip - and falling off a horse will definitely help that along. I just am terrified to risk it.

I love her very much and its tearing me up to realize that I have to give up horseback riding for my health.

Aww K_A I'm so sorry to hear that... :( But your safety is #1. I know you love her & all, don't feel too bad. I know she had a good life, that is sad though.

i read some where a gaited horse can be easer on your back , that's so sad.....

kim_angel 05-06-2008 09:20 AM

Yes, if you have a bad back a TWH or any smooth gaited horse is the best breed to go for.

My back was ok when riding her, her gait is as if she is floating on a cloud to be honest.

But if I fall off, I can get seriously hurt. With a young energetic horse - I cant risk it.

Every time I go to the stable since I decided to put her up for sale, I just stand there and cry in her mane.

My husband is pressuring me to sell her so he doesnt have to keep paying board on horse for me that I cant ride (since I already have one of those with Cocoa) so he told me to lower her price.

I will accept 1200. (firm) from anyone here on the forums.
If you know someone who might be interested - the price for anyone who doesnt post here is 1500.00

Thanks! :(
