Hi guys, I am starting to get bored of just trotting around our round yard EVERY time i ride and it is not really getting me any where ..............
I was just wondering if any of you had any ideas of something different to do.......i usually ride alone so i have no one to instruct me :-(
we are in the process of building an arena so i can not ride in there......
Do everything you do now, but take off the saddle and ride bareback!
put some cones/poles up and do some weaving.
Practice stopping from a trot, practice walk trot transitions, halt to walk, change direction, change speed every 5 paces or so.
Keep your horses mind and your active :D
Practice flat work, bombproofing your pony, your position, your horses position, extensions, ect! And have fun!
thanks for your advice i am looking foward to trying them tomorrow :)
I did horse ridding lessons for years and I dont have my own horse, but I would like to go horse ridding that is not on a typical trail ride, as many other ridders in the group cant ride.
Can anyone suggest any activities places in and around Melbourne you can go to horse riding or can you assit paying someone to take care of a horse and hence being able to ride the horse also?
