Has anyone ever got their horses drunk to make them shed faster? O_o

I'll stick with a shedding blade.

That's a new one! Maybe that's why Woodstock is so slick & shiny! He always gets the bottom half of my guinness :)

I could see Soda being an angry drunk and I'm fairly certian Lily would get reallly emotional and dramatic.... So I just keep the booze away from the horses.

Haha, I've just heard one beer a day for like a week will make them shed like crazy. Not enough to get them drunk. Just a bottle. It's may and even with a shedding blade/curry/grooming block Gunnar is still sporting his winter coat. It's just not shedding enough. Enough to make you hairy but not enough to be completely shed yet. I'm thinking about giving him a bath..

I think the beer is for the groomer so they loose track of time and brush longer. Or maybe you pour the beer on the horse and let it get sticky and then brush it. They op is pretty vague

Oh god, drunk Gracie. Wow, there's a nightmare waiting to happen. o_O She's a wild and crazy one, who is absolutely gorgeous. Enough to make you forget that she's a little bit of a b*tch. She'd dance around like a sexy siren, take all of her clothes off, and yell at you. Wow. Crazy.

Works like a charm. Did it years ago for one I had who wouldn't shed out. One per day for...well.....6 days.! One six pack-cheap beer=happy less hairy horse!

Also works, just as a sideline, for new moms whose milk isn't coming in.

Casper doesn't like beer, so that won't work. He's more of an Orange Crush kinda guy. :-P

JJ's already goofy and clumsy enough, so I don't think he needs anything to push him even more over the edge.

Mack would most likely drink it. He's a grumpy old sourpuss though, so he'd probably be a mean drunk! :?

I wouldn't give beer to my horse simply because I would drink it before it got to his feed pan! :-P
