Zipper or no? I've only had pull ons so far and I want to know what you prefer and why? Pull ons or breeches with a zipper? Also what is the difference between a breech and a riding tight? Are riding tights less hot then breeches for summer riding? Thanks. |
acheeem, I'm just going to... bump this here. ;) |
Well this is embarrassing... bump?? |
I prefer zipper for showing, pull on for hacking and schooling. Zippered on the side flattens the look of the tummy. In the summer my daughter prefers kerrits, the lightweight easy dry ones, winter a breech, and she likes front zip. Posted via Mobile Device |
I prefer the pull ons and Kerrits are my favorites. |
I have always used zippered breeches....and prefer the side zip ones over the front zip ones. Sorry, but I am not sure of the true difference between a tight and a breech, but I would assume that the zipper would be part of it. |
Riding tights are exactly what they seem. They fit like tights. Breeches have more of a "pants-type" structure to them and have a zipper, either front or side zip. I personally prefer breeches. Some styles I like a side zip while others I am ok with a front zip. |
For schooling or for shows? With the h/j or dressage shows, for all but the most casual of schooling shows tights aren't quite dressy enough. Tights are generally for schooling. I have a few pairs of tights and they are very comfortable! Like walking around in PJs! But I still prefer zippers. Side zips for the most part but most of my summer schooling breeches are front zips. |
upnover: I was thinking about getting tights for the summer when I ride, not for shows of course. :) Hmm, side zip, I'll look into that when I buy show breeches... eventually... one day. :-| |
When I saw the title I thought we were talking about tall boots but with breeches I definetly prefer zip. I never have tried side zip though |
