Tip your farrier?
Are you supposed to tip your farrier?
I don't think anyone does it where I live, but maybe they just don't know better :-)

I remember EXACTLY same topic from last year. :D Don't remember what section it was in though.
And to answer no, I don't, and don't know anyone in area who does. However I always get a big box of european chocolate as "Thank You" for X-mas to show him my appreciation with his work.

I like my farrier a lot. His price is 84 so I tip him and give him 90 lol. You dont have too but I want to help him out in some way. Especially because of gas.

I do not tip my farrier.
I do provide him with prepared horses, a comfortable place to work (out of the elements, not heated or anything), cold/hot drinks and cookies or the like.
I buy him a gift every year at Christmas (usually a gift card to a store I know he likes).

Not usualy but I did with my new guy. He comes from an hour away, and he spent so much extra time on my girl fixing her toes.

sometimes I tip. Depends on the situation. My horse was being a putz the other day and the poor guy ended up hammering his own knee. I tipped him that day. But my farrier will also rush out to fix an issue at the drop of a hat....
