whats your opinion of him?

Hey guys,
This is my 7 year old, 14.3 hh Paint horse (or pony i guess ) Cody. I was wondering what your opinion was on him.

I hope these pictures are ok, let me know if there not.

Thanks

At 14.2, he would be a pony. Any more then 14.2 on the dot and he would be a horse.

There is a sticky at the top of this section that details how to get the best pictures for critiquing. You should take a look at them. :)

He is a nice, solid looking pony,

so technically he JUST made it into the horse catigory. and yeah i read that, these were just the one i had on my computer at the time. guess i should have waited until i got a good one. haha

Not the best photos for critique, but he has an overly long back with very nice, solid, substantial legs.

14.2 makes a pony???????????

It really depends on what you are critiquing him for....a certain discipline, his conformation etc....???

and yes^^^ 14.2 is the pony line lol.

Holy crap. I have a 14.2 mare QH that I run the barrels on, that is crazy good. Does that mean I have a pony? omg......

I love that big build he has, he looks so solid and just "there".

Honestly I don't see anything wrong with him. He looks like an excellent riding horse, regardless of what you want to do with him, speedy or slow.

Of course, you could nitpick and be that his head isn't super refined, his shoulder isn't super sloped, etc. But unless your breeding, it really don't matter son

He's one of those horses that make me think, "Built To Last"
(you know, I will happily swap bodies. My narrow gelding for your big sturdy one, waddayathink?)

Technically you would have a quarter pony, yes. But that's good- barrel horses should be smaller...compare it to boating: would it be easier to drive a john boat around a bouy or a cruise ship? Smaller horses can tuck under much closer and more nicely.

He should be called "Tank"!
