Rocked my first training level!
Just wanted to gush about how awesome it felt to complete my very first training level event.
I had a mediocre dressage, just didn't push for enough in my lengthens, but regardless I was super happy. We ended up with a 38.6 (which is my worst ever dressage score, kinda makes me mad at myself lol), went double clean in stadium, and jumped cleanly around cross country to end with 8 time faults. I would've pushed for a little more speed on cross country but about halfway through Ace started making a weird noise and I didn't want to push him too hard. he wasn't laboring at all and was still raring to go, but I was being a bit more cautious. I also almost jumped the wrong jump at one point and had to make a circle, which definitely affected our time. Regardless! It went really well and I'm so happy with myself and super proud of Ace. For 25 years old he definitely rocked it. We were in 5th after stadium but with our time faults we got bumped down to 11th or 12th.

Love his expressions going over jumps! Good job!
38.6 is you WORST? Are you talking regular dressage or event dressage score?
Now that I think about it I think I might have been in the 40s once on my last horse at her first or second event. I don't really remember, but most of my scores have been from 30 - 36.
nice job ! training level is very fun =]
Wow great job! You horse is so honest. He's got a nice jump in him.
@gypsygirl - If his throat/windpipe scope well then we'll be setting our sights on a prelim by the end of the season. :)
@MyBoyPuck - He's incredibly honest, but he'll only allow me to make a certain number of mistakes before he flips the bird and tells me to shape up! It's good for me, makes me have to be perfect! I wish he was mine, but for now I'll keep on riding him! He's competed through the CCI*** level so his level of sensitivity to my aids is through the roof. It's making me a much more efficient and subtle rider, and I am ever so grateful to him and his owner for letting me ride him. :)
I think that is fabulous, congrats on rockin' Training Level! I never thought I would say this, but those stadium fences too small :P I love his jump over that skinny.
Congrast! Job well done! You like the inflatavest?
Yeah, I love it. It's not mine though lol. It's my coach's. She lets me use it as long as our rides don't conflict lol. I forgot to unclip when I got off after XC though! Just really lucky that I'm tall and didn't put too much pressure on it to make it go off!
That would of been not good, if you accidently caused the vest to inflate - omg! LOL!
You should be proud of how far you've come since we first met! Look at you go girl!
