Anyone used a myler calvary s - shank hackamore?

Has anyone used the Myler Calvary s - shank hackmore?
How does it compare to a mechanical hackamore? Thanks!

Is this the one you mean?

I see they also make a double-rein version. That's cool.

These have less severe shanks than a regular mechanical hackamore, as they are slightly shorter and also curved back. The noseband is less severe than a rope (less abrasive), but the solid-covered bikechain still gives a strong feel. The leather curb is a nice replacement for the chain, making it gentler on the horse and removing the "shanking" ability that is so awful about regular mechanical hacks--you can't grab and jerk a horse with it. Other than the above, it is just a well-balanced mechanical hackamore.

When looking for a hack for my new mare, I looked at quite a few but ended up with a "little s hack". I liked the design and the fact that it is comparatively mild.

Yes, mine looks exactly like that. I thought it would be less severe than the mechanical and am hoping my horse will respond to it. Thank you.
