the only thing that I have noticed about my postion in this picture is that I am sitting a little far back in the saddle, but I think that is because the leg flaps are not forward enough for me. Be honest(:

Are you asking for hunter type show EQ classes or breed show EQ classes?

You appear to be looking down at your horses head. Pick your eyes and head up. I think your hands are a little too low. They should not be on sides of your horses withers but slightly above. Though you do have a straight line from your elbow to your horses mouth. Photo is too dark to truly tell but it looks sort of like your hands are held flat instead of having your thumbs up.

I love the way you keep your heels down and your leg position looks great, look up at where you want to go not down at your horse's head. Your hands could stand to be a bit higher and closer together, not down beside the withers. Other than that you two look great together.

Thank you both(: i was looking down and i do tend to have the classic piano hands. I do agree they can be held up a little higher and still have a straight line from bit to elbow

Can't quite see with black gloves, but are your riding knuckles up? Reins up a tad, thumbs on top. Otherwise looks good. Yes, you're looking down, but at least it's mostly with your eyes and not your whole head.

Thank you(:

Very cute pair, seriously! Just don't lean any more forward than that. You look like a very competant and practical rider.

As already stated, look up, pick up your hands and get your thumbs up top. Instead of being focused on a fake head set - focus more, at home - on driving your adorable horse forward and under himself, so that his back can lift up into your seat, and track up - ride back to front, not front to back.

Your lovely mount, looks tense in his jaw - inside leg into outside rein. When he softens, you soften.

Hands up, eyes up, and I would lift your chest up a little more encouraging your shoulders to come back slightly. Otherwise very nice.
