From Houston, BC
Hey everybody! I moved from Vancouver to a small town like Houston, and I have recently began to have a great interest in horses ever since a good friend of mine introduced me to her horses. I used to have a fear of horses (almost a phobia) but I seem to have gotten over it and replaced it with curiosity. I rode a horse for the first time last friday, and even though I was thrown off (my friend convinced me to try a 'trot' and I didn't know what the heck 'posting' was) I have been extremely interested in horses. I am currently helping my friend with caring for her three horses and a foal (about 4 days old)
PS: My username is SlimShady because my nickname is Slim and my friends nickname is Shade and I love to rap :D haha

Slim, where is Houston? I mean where in BC?
I suppose you "fell" off the horse, as opposed to being "thrown" off. That would mean the horse bucked or reared and TRIED to get you off.
IN any case, horses are fascinating animals, even if one never rides them.

Hi Slim, wow what a difference from Van huh? I am in 100 Mile House, so I am on your way from there to Houston, 6 hours north of Van, and about 10 hrs or more south of you now. Don't despair, once you get the hang of the balance thing, you'll be hooked.
