Grrrr. Agree. And just the fact that they are SO emphatic it is not a scam makes me wonder.....

Sad, isn't it?
Too bad some people (even active on this forum) think it's ok.

I'd not even consider sitting on THAT yearling, Look how poor it's condition is for one!

Depending on the AGE of the yearling (just turned 12months, rising 2 etc) whether or not i see it as an issue.

With western horses people seem to get them started 20months - 2 years and having them going and showing undersaddle lightly.

JustDressageIt 06-22-2011 10:31 PM

I don't, and will never, understand getting on something less than 2 years old. Even then that is very young IMO.

The sitting doesn't bother me nearly as much as the fact that they are saying if she isn't sold, she will be going out with their broodmares to be bred. Really? You wont even give her a chance? Just breed breed breed. *facepalm*

JustDressageIt 06-22-2011 10:35 PM

The icing on the cake. Le sigh.

Just another example of things wrong in the horse world and a perfect example of a stereotype put on us "western people". We aren't all morons.

Lol western does not mean redneck.

Poor horse, though. Sad thing is this isn't the worst of it!

Why not!? I'm sure that maybe one of her mediocre foals just might make a half way decent show horse one day! And who wants to miss out on that chance!?!!

>.< I'm just wondering when they plan on breeding her...when she's one or two? o.O
