Veiny? and bumps?
Lately I've noticed that Sonny is really "veiny"...his veins show and I was just wondering, if that particually normal? I have seen horses with their veins showing, but wasn't sure if it was something normal that a horse gets.

Also, I've noticed too that Sonny has alot of bumps...most of them look like the vein is just enlarged there for some reason, but one part on his neck doesn't seem to be a vein...but I could be wrong.
You can see in this picture:
what I'm talking about. It's only on his front legs and shoulder arena, and his back legs.
It shows more after he's worked (which if it is a blood vein then it's understandable cause his heart is pumping faster, making blood go through quicker...making his veins possibly appear larger)

I don't notice the bumb on his neck until after I ride, so it could be part of a vein...I know he has two bumps like I know is a vein, but not sure about the other one?

Is this something normal, and nothing I should worry about? Or should I get a vets opinion? What do you think Ryle? (hehe your a vet tech so maybe you've got questions like that before)

It is pretty normal after work and when the weather starts heating up.

okay, thanks Ryle. That's what I kinda figured, but since I've never ridden a horse in the summer (sad, isn't it? The only times I've taken horse back riding lessons were in the fall/winter when it was cold hehe) but just wanted to make sure.
