Bouncy cantering

I am 11 and my loan pony has a very bouncy canter. This is sweet usually, but creates trouble because sitting to the canter is very difficult. I was wondering if there are any excercises you can do to help sitting to the canter.

do you have a video? My horse is a bouncy one as well. Do you know if your horse is crossfiring or is your pony just bouncy? I have found that it's easier for me to do the canter in a half seat. When I sit the canter I put extra weight in my heels and you need to make sure you sit on your seat bones and not your crotch like many riders do( I do this and I'm still trying to break the habit)..this is called perching. Also if you are tightening your body at the canter you bounce more. You want to relax your body like a soggy noodle. Some people say to grind your seat and it helps your stay in the saddle. You want to make sure you do not back drive though. I guess we would relaly need to see a video to see if it's really your pony or you and the horseforum members can go from there.
