Found my horse's Pedigree!

Hi all,

Some of you may know that I have recently bought a new horse. A 13yo Thoroughbred mare whom I have named Saving Grace.

Turns out, her regisered name is Storm Survivor. She has Bold Ruler, Northern Dancer, and Storm Bird in her pedigree (those are just the ones I really recognized the names of...). She was a bad racer apparently, because in her Three year old racing career she only made $127...In her 2 year old career she made about $4500. Poor girl!

I will be getting her actual papers soon, too. Does anyone know how to get a history out of the Reg. Papers?

So I have changed her showname to Graceful Storm. I love it!

Thanks for reading, I am just so happy to have her name and soon her papers!

That's awesome; I bet you're psyched!

If the papers were appropiately transferred from owner to owner like they should have been, the Jockey Club has a section on the papers for past owners' names.

Oh cool, thanks!

Yeah, i am psyched!

How interesting...her sire was from Ireland, with his sire from Canada and dam from the US, and her dam is from the US. It could be fun tracing how fate brought them all together...

Oh yours and mine are related! Who is her dam/sire?

Sire is Squadron Leader, Dam is Sister Blister.

What is your horse's name?

Dry Ice. Sire is Housebuster, dam is Froze. They are like...third cousins or something? And my gelding is only a month older than your mare, cool!

But your horse actually made some money!
