Her mane won't pick a side!
When I first got Ginger, her mane fell to the right. Then, it switched sides and fell to the left. Now, it can't decide. The top half is on the right, bottom half is on the left. Is there anything I can do to make it pick a side to fall on??

Same thing happens with my mare! Interested to hear replies!

LOL! My Morgan/RMH cross is the same way. I think really the only thing you can do is wash it and use a "throat sweat?" type thing to break it over. Basically a snug piece of stretchy material that will hold the mane in place. I am not sure if it will stay that way or you'll have to do it every time you wash it, Jackson has a wild wavy mane and I kind of like it so I leave it,lol.

I'd also be interested to know the proper way to trim her bridal path. I know how, but I don't want to clip too much and have her with a long bald space.

I don't think there is a permanent fix, but banding or braiding it to one side or the other will help.

I have tried the braiding but it just splits in two again. Hunters stays nice when I brush it but as soon as he shakes the top half goes over to the left. It sucks because before another horse chewed half his mane off and we had to roach it, it always stayed on the right. :0(
