Fencing
 

I love the white or black fencing that are just boards, but I heard that in eastern NC's humid weather, it might be a bad idea. There are several different types including PVC. Any recommendations?

The fencing that I use for my arena is RAMM fencing. I don't use it on my perimeter only because I also have cows and they put holes in it with their horns!! That will change once we get rid of all the horned ones.

Your best bet is either cedar or pressure treated. I too live in an area of high humidity and my pressure treated posts have been in the ground for 20 years. We pulled a few and they were good a new.

Yep - it's commonly called "Kentucky Board Fence" and is very common in this area. Let me tell you, having lived in both Eastern N.C. and this area (KY/IN) the humidity here is equal to, and sometimes worse than, N.C. Properly treated and maintained, there is no reason you cannot have the fencing you want.
