Snagged this from Fugs. Definitely some darn fine reading as far as I'm concerned!

Horse Training… Serious 911

People like this just make me want to smash my head off the keyboard. I try to be sympathetic and everything. We probably all were like that once (I know I was at one point), but when a horse is KICKING you, WHY AREN'T YOU DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT? No matter how inexperienced and lovey-dovey I wanted to be with my horses, when I got bit one time, my horse got its a$$ kicked, and now I'm at the point where if they even look at me the wrong way, then they're getting their butts warmed up with a little lesson on respect. I just never understood, no matter how much you love them, why people will accept downright dangerous behaviour and just back off. If the horse really scares you that much, either sell it and get a 30-year-old about-to-drop-dead school horse that you won't mess up quite as easily, or--*GASP* here's an idea: why don't you go out, buy some books, watch some DVDs, go get lessons, and LEARN about horses.

The one line that made me really laugh was: "We seem to have a really great bond, because Champ follows me around like a puppy (unless I make him do anything he doesn't want to)." And the fact that she assumed he was abused by a previous owner, even though he was perfect when she got him *shakes head*.

Yeah I always check first for other topics and only make it if I can't find it in the first couple pages.

No biggie, mods can close this one, smrobs thread has taken off better.
