Refuses one jump!

Hey everyone... okay my horse cricket, was jumping yesterday and she only refused this one jump going one way ... she would jump it one way, perfectly fine. And she sometime does this... I was just thinking it was the way she saw the shadow of the trees and she didnt like it so she would refuse. Every other jump she went over perfectly. Please help...

Maybe the horse just does not like that jump. Maybe it looks scary. If you can take a look at it maybe you will find out what it is. Also bring the horse closer to the jump on the ground like lead Cricket up to the jump when you are not in her. Maybe all she needs is to look at it a little before you try it. Hope this helps!

was it a refusal or a run out?
was the jump different on each side?
as you said, it may have been the shadows, but you could put a small jump infront and make it a double, then you dont have to worry about getting the striding, just getting the pony over the jump :)

hope that helped? i didnt explain that very well

oh ya! ... it was a run out ...lol ...
And yes .. when she actually jumped it ,she landed in the the sun... no shadows. But thanks for that!!! I really appreciate it ! :D
