Horse has several bumps on his back that I assume are fly bites. Hard nodules, hair is not falling out.
a few of these bumps are a little tender.
Any treatments?

I use a medicated utter balm (like for cows). I got it at my local Farm and Barn store. Very inexpensive. Its a lot like vaseline. It protects the bite and really helps with swelling. Plus then more nasty flies can't get into the bite and produce more bites. I use it on my horses belly button, since those stupid gnat/mosquito blood sucker things get in and literally make him bleed.
I have used it on regular fly bites, cuts, scrapes, tick wounds, and more, all over the horse's body. It protects and allows the bites to heal without costing a whole lot.
Went to the tack store today. Guys there said they use an iodine shampoo a few times a week and it clears up pretty well. Also got new fly sheets.
