Hello from Norway!

Hello!

I'm a girl from Norway that have been in the stable regularly for six years.
I also have a dog to take care of, which I greatly enjoy. Other than that I like to read, listen to music and run.

Welcome!! I am from Scandinavian descent and would love to visit your country someday! I love the Eddas, the Heimskringla, and other stories!

Hope to hear more!

Hi, What kind of dog do you have? any photos?? photos of the horses you ride??

It's always fun to hear from someone that descends from my country.

They are indeed great sagas. Do you have a favourite?

The dog is a Danish/Swedish Farmdog. It is not widely known.

I have no photos on this computer at the moment.

There are so many interesting ones to choose from, but some of my favorites are the stories of Yggdrasil and it's symbolism; Odin's sacrifice on the Tree of Knowledge- his loss of an eye and resulting wisdom; of course, Freya's Brisingamen and her powers of Love and War, and the funniest is about Thor dressing up as Freya for a wedding, in cahoots with Loki..

Amazing Sagas, and the reverence and respect for women throughout Nordic history has been well stated.

The way they treated women is kind of interesting, really. Men didn't show the same superiority as they did in many other cultures, but you still see a big difference between the genders. I like the way a woman's keys showed how "powerful" she were.

My absolute favourite is The Håvamål(The Wisdom of the Vikings), but I've got to agree with you that it is indeed many interesting and amazing sagas.
