Are these good? I was thinking one of these, do I really need a 17" monitor or is a 15.4" good enough????
your link requires a code...which model are you looking at?
15.4" HD Widescreen
and i put a bunch of "stuff" in it.... i don't know what I'm doing!
i've had 2 lap tops in 4 year's......one dies when i droped it and the other one i gave away ....to me there not worth the money
My laptop is an Inspiron 1525. I recommend them. =] I love mine, use it all the time. And I am a graphic artist, so I use alot of memory and stuff. Plus I make video's with special effects and the computer works great.
If you want a 1525, definitely go with a dual core processor and 2G of memory. However, I agree with kansas twister in that unless you really need a mobile machine, a laptop is not a good investment compared to a desktop.
I have an Inspiron E1405 and it's alright...
to be honest my old Windows 98 Computer worked better
I've had this laptop crash on me once (I was able to fix it by myself) and that's about it....no other complaints at all.
I got a laptop because I hate being in one room all the time like I'd have to be with a computer and have the room get all hot because of the computer/laptop. So with this I can move around to a comfortable area and enjoy myself.
my laptop works 200% better than my mom's computer though...my mom's computer (though only maybe 5 years old) acts like it's 400 years old. It's slow...and nothing really works on it
Our first computer was a dell desktop. It did a good job for many years. I have a HP Pavilion laptop now. I think it all comes down to what you are going to use it for. Make a list and take it to a Circuit City, Best Buy or whatever electronics store you have in your area. Or call Dell and ask them what would be best for you. I bow to the experts at telling me what would work best. I bought a fancy photo printer thinking I would print out more photos but I never do. Its so much easier to just upload them to snapfish or kodak. The ink in my printer has actually dried up, I use it so infrequently.
I like a laptop for the simple reason it takes up less space. If your going to be watching movies/videos a larger screen is nice. I like a 10 key on my keyboard so mine is wider for that reason not because I wanted a larger screen.
I've been extremely happy with my HP its about 3-4 years old.
I'm so confused!!! LOL... I think I'm just going to close my eyes nad pick one! The 1525 i was looking at has 3gb memory... and 250 somethingerotehr...
All depends what you want to do. I have smaller screens on my laptops-makes them easier to carry around. My brother has a 17 inch screen but he does a lot of programming and video productions so he needs all the screen space.
All personal preference.
