Thinking of going to a Horse Auction

So this Saturday I am thinking of going to the Pacific Livestock Auction I have never been to a auction before, but I heard you can get some decent horses there for a low price....Has anyone in Arizona ever been there or at least if someones been to one what should I look out for and any pointers would be great.

I haven't been in a long time. Bring someone with you who really knows a lot about horses. Go early so you can walk up and down the pens and look at everything before the auction.

Did you ever buy one from there? What the horses look like are they all half starved or actual horses that are in good shape...lol..sorry I was hoping for someone whose been there even if it was a long time ago...My husband and I planned on going but we are only gonna buy if we feel its good for us I been waiting weeks to find the right horse so I can wait a little longer if I need to lol

I've never bought from there. Last time I went a ranch was going out of business & there were a lot of good horses, but other times there was nothing. You have to be a little hard hearted when you are looking, because there are a lot of horses that are sick or underfed. Its really sad.
If you look at Havok's album in my profile, his mom in the pictures are from PLA. We were given her by someone who bought her there not realizing she was pregnant. The seller didn't disclose to the buyer that she was in foal, which is an example of the kind of stuff you have to watch out for there. She is a nice little horse, but is a really hard keeper.

So my husband and I went to the Auction we found a horse we liked poor guy is kind of beat up with bite marks and he got kicked in his hock but is recovering well swelling is going down and hes almost walking just fine now..there was a bunch of horses from a ranch guess hes 11 yrs old roper and been in parades...I'll post pics here in a sec got to get them off my phone.....we saw him rode but haven't rode him our selves since we want him all healed up before we get on him and shoes..his feet were cracked too we got his front ones done but waiting for his leg to heal more before we make him lift it up or put weight on it...

Very pretty horse. Seems like a darling.

To add a horse there's a "HORSES" tab in the upper left corner then go to "Your barn" and click "Add a horse" I think xD
