Frank Bell???
Hi everyone,
If you read my post below, you will learn that I just took over care of a rescued mare. She came from a bad situation and her ground manners quite frankly suck. I don't know everything about her background, but she seems to not have a whole lot of respect for people.
I am interested in learning some techniques to bond with her and gain her respect and gain control.

It seems like many of you really like Clinton Anderson.
I read in a post from one of the moderators that she really likes Frank Bell as well. After reading a little bit about him and his techniques, I am intrigued.... such as the info found here

Does anyone else have any experience with his techniques?
His dvd's etc are also much cheaper than CA or Parrelli...

I've never had any experience, but he sounds very nice. He comes from a great direction. I use Monty Roberts' techinques, which are very similar to Frank Bell's. I really like his approach! It sounds like a great program!

I have several Frank Bell DVD's I like his more laid back approach. He may not get as in depth as Clinton Anderson but he gets the message across just as well.
Its more on building a loving respectful relationship with your horse, rather than just getting the horse to do what you want. I'd love to go to one of his clinics but never have them close enough to me.

He sounds amazing! I might get his DVDs. Are they good Vidaloco? I mean, like worth the money?

I have the 'Discover the horse you never knew'. Its pretty basic stuff, but I found a lot of it useful. Some of the excercises are very similar to Clinton Anderson as far as desensitizing.
I do the first 3 steps pretty regular with Vida and I have seen improvement as far as her bonding to me. I think I got it on ebay for around $30-40 I think its $49 on his web site, so shop around.

Yeah. I might look into getting some of his stuff.
