I love this guy. I got him for only one thousand. He's a three year old gelding and I would love If you guys would tell me what you think. Sorry if some of the pics are a little crooked, I think my sis tilted the camera when she took them. Kinda makes you dizzy. I also shoulda gotten a back view, but I didn't think of it...

Does he stand naturally that way in the back - all stretched apart? In every pic it looks that way
Other than his back legs could be straighter i don't see much wrong. Nice pony!

NICE! Can I have him? Please

Val1991 09-01-2011 12:42 PM

Might be cow hocked?

That is the one thing about him that I'm not so sure about him. He hasn't learned how to square up just yet, but he alway stands with his back toes pointing out a bit. He may be a bit cow hocked.... like I said, I should have gotten a back view...

And thanks for all the compliments guys!

I can only say what I say about every Haflinger, AWWWWW! He's cute!

Val1991 09-01-2011 01:41 PM

Thank! ^^ cute is his name, but mischief is his game...

I've heard that's a common trait amongst those cute little buggers! I have a student who has one and she is so sweet & willing but is a little houdini!

Love him! How old is he? He looks fairly young?

Have fun with him! Better wrap up that pretty tail in the winter to keep it all nice like that. I would agree he toes out in back, especially on the left. My clyde X does too, and was fine until the age of about 20. Just don;t try to correct too much too fast.....
