Tipperary protective vests
I have been looking for a good protective vest and my local tack shop only carries the Tipperary brand. They look very comfortable however I have read on this forum that they are not certified. The lady at my tack store is sure they are are certified and sells many of them to people who are into jumping. Can someone point me to a website or something that states for certain if these vests are certified or not?? Her and I have both looked on the internet and can find nothing about this except in the forums.
They are NOT certified. Compare say Tipperary Competitor XP Protective Riding Vest < Protective Vests < Riding Apparel|Dover Saddlery. vs Children's Charles Owen Body Protector < Protective Riding Vests < Riding Apparel|Dover Saddlery. In the description of the latter you can see "Meets ASTM standard F-1937-04. SEI Certified. BETA 2000 Level 3". Same is for Airowear, Woof, etc. But NOT for the tipperary.
