How can I get the mane to lie flat?

I don't really want to band it because then it makes a crease near the top. Any suggestions? (I probably need to pull it to even it out a bit) ....

Here's a pic of what it looks like now. As you can see, the wind blows it everywhere, but somedays it lays flatter than others:

My mare's mane is worse than Jubilee's. Vega's doesn't even lay down!

I bought a hoodie for her (can't think of the other name)

I've used it on my mare and it helps, but it pops up a few months later, but currently it's standing straight up

It's actually not THAT thick. She's a tb, so she has a pretty fine hairs.

Just keep turning her around so the wind blows it all over the same way........... j/k I couldn't resist... The mental pic is too funny for me........

It for sure needs a good pulling. You should make simple braids to the right and leave them in for a week. That will train the main to sit to one side and should hopefully let it sit down for a while. Thats a regular issue you'll get with a pulled main because there is no weight to keep it down.

Good Luck

Braiding it to the right side is the best way I've found to get a crazy mane to lie down. But the idea of the sleazy is good too plus it probably take much less time.

My friends has a appy and she has the typical foundation app mane short and does not lay down at all all she does is braids with it and its starting to lay down a bit she just has to keep it like that :)
