Best Side

Does your horse have a "best side"? Jubilee's is going left. To the right she feels somewhat uneven and ducks in a bit on circles. I've been trying to work her more on her bad side than her good side, to get her evened up. Have any suggestions? Is there a reason for a better side, or do most horses just like one side better?

It is VERY common for horses to have a "better side" - Maia's is also to the left.

Both my horses go better left.

Wow, I did not know that most horses liked the left better! :P

my horse likes the right better. and he's an ex racehorse. go figure
i guess its because he doesn't really like running
he's so odd

Yep, my Tb's better side was to the right as well; she never raced though.

All of my horses do better going left. I have always thought that I may have something to do with this.

I just remembered that at a clinic i went to last year i was told that if your dominant hand was right, then your stronger leg was left & if your stronger hand is left, then your stronger leg is right. This may have something to do with this topic.
