When I would bathe horses at my barn, most of the girls had Cowboy Magic products and they worked wonders for the white legs! It went on purple and when you scrubbed it, it would fade to white..the quicksilver stuff works great too (:

This is for more of like poop stains, or if you missed spots while bathing..

There are slews of whitening shampoos to choose from! I think I tried just about everyone too. I haven't found one that didn't do a good job, though.

I vote Quic Silver!!!! It works AMAZING!!! I leave it in for 5 minutes and your horse sparkles! Also do a spray once your horse drys to help them shine like Cowboy magic super body shine. It will also repel the dirt for when your horse rolls! Good luck.

When you get him white, quickly take a picture so that you know what it looks like after he has rolled in the dirt 5 minutes later. That's the only way I know what our mostly white mare looks like when she's clean.

Thanks for all the great ideas so far:)when using Quic Silver is there a special conditioner that i should use afterwards?and I love cowboy magic green spot remover.one of my black pintabians had a big white spot on the inside of his hind leg and it was always filthy by the time i retrieved him from the pasture in the mid afternoon:)

I love Quick Silver shampoo, and WOW by Healing Tree WOW® Sustained Equine Action Whitener, Natural Color Restorer, and Green Spot Remover, and Mrs. Stewart's Laundry Bluing http://www.mrsstewart.com/pdf/pethair.pdf, and Fanci Full White Minx for manes & tails Fanci-Full*White Minx Temporary Hair Color | Walgreens, and I especially love Cheval Internationals supplement White As Snow Coat Enhancers. The White As Snow really makes them blindingly white.

Clear henna as a coat dressing after a bath is a great shine booster too!
