Show Team

I am very determined to join my barns 2012 show team. We had a meeting last night about the 2012 show season and we have big plans. =D We are going to work a LOT as a TEAM by doing fundraisers so the team only has to pay half of actual show costs! We got a 15 horse trailer to take to shows so we can save money on gas, and are trying to get big sponsors (Dover Saddlery, SLT, Tractor Supply Co., things like that) and their name would be printed on the side of the trailer. Also, the barn owner who owns a lot of things around here, bought a new RV that can sleep 8 people. So we can save a LOT of money on hotel bills and food. Another one of the +'s about being on the team is that we get an extra lesson free for the week with our paid one, and we can work for a third at the barn! =D SUPER happy about that one! I am also going to work around the barn as much as I can to pay off more of my show expenses and have it cost even less. I also need even MORE jobs to make it even LESS! We are running low on money and the barn needs to know by December. I know that is far away, but I really want to get it all done as soon as possible. Does anyone have any good ideas for jobs? I am already going to baby-sit some little kids that live around here, but I will not mow lawns. Everyone one around her has lawns that are bigger then their house time 2. Any other ideas? Also, share things about your show team if your barn has one. This is new to my barn and I am SUPER excited about it! =D

As far as jobs go, you could babysit or walk dogs or something like that, I don't know how old you are so I can't say to get a part-time job somewhere.
I'm on a showteam too! It's just a little one though, just 7 of us right now (two in walk-trot, two in 2'3" hunters, three in 2'6"+ jumpers.) We don't compete very far away (farthest is two hours.) but we are fairly successful on the local "circuit". Since we don't go to many shows, everyone pays their way (entry fees + coaching fees). You're going to have a blast, I know I am! We have an RV, but much littler and a 5 horse trailer.

Thanks! I'm 14, and If you have a drivers permit in Kansas, we can get a job. But, I don't have one yet... so that's out. That sounds really fun! Our team is going to be a smaller team too. Not to many people where I live ride English. =D
