Taking Out Braids

Does your barn take out your horse's braid's in his mane/tail? I braided my horses mane on Monday, and when I went back on Wednesday they were all out :( I wasnt too happy about this, but maybe I am overreacting...what do you guys think?

Also, I have had his mane braided before....it was braided when I got him here to his new barn, and all braids were still fine, and it had been a month since I had done them. I asked the BO about it, and she said that they must have came out in the pasture...What are the chances of this?

Thanks

it is possible he could have rolled and broke the rubber bands or rubbed them out on a fence or something. The mare I was riding couple months back I would have to redo her braids once a week because she would get them undone all the time.

Bad bunch of band could be the problem. I got a bag and like 8 out of 10 brake.

I would have thought the same thing, but in two nights? At the moment, the horses are only turned out at night. The barn I had him at before he was out almost 24/7, there were trees, bushes, branches, just a lot more that he could have gotten them tangled with, and I didnt have a problem once. These fields that he is in now, and perfect! No branches in any of them, all the fences are electric, or wood with electric on top....

Do you think he could have rolled and gotten all 9 braids out? Im just wondering....never had a horse thats been able to do that before :)

That possibly could have been it to be honest! I bought these bands quite some time ago. The only thing is, for me they usually break as I am twisting them onto the braid....two of them did, but then I just got new ones.

But this is very possible!! Thanks, never even thought of that!!!
