A poem I wrote Called "We wander" Here it is.... All that is gold does not glitter Not all who wander are lost Above quote from J.R.R. Tolkiens book, The Lord of the Rings Like an oak in the old forest, Hardy, stout, and long living, The mistletoe hangs from haggard branches, And under those branches I ride, My good friend beneath me, A tall, prancing horse, Black as the night, He is gold, but he does not glitter, Not to your eye, but to mine, pure gold, Together we wandered the forests, Not lost, but merely being us, To him I am gold, His good friend from a foal, I visited him with sugar in the snow, Now still we wander the forests, Under the snow laden trees, We will wander till the world ends, But for now, he is still my friend, We are there for each other, When I need a ride, he is there for me, Ready for me to climb on his back, Together, we are faster than the wind, Alone, we are useless, Alone, we cannot see each other glitter We need each other to glitter, We need each other to wander. |
Wow that's really good. :) |
That's good, I like it. |
Yeah, I don't know if I'm much for poetry, at least in writing standards. But it fun once in a while, right?! |
