Food noob needs help. :)
I currently have my easy keeper on Buckeye's Safe 'N Easy (1lb twice per day) plus hay. Pasture is miserable right now, so they have a round bale out every other day.
Buckeye recommends that you feed more than what I give because of the vit/min content, amino acids, etc. If I feed more, we'll have a very fat arab. :p
So ultimately I want to switch him to a ration balancer.
The problem is, I don't know what is up with our hay.
The vet said it had a fair amount of alfalfa, but it's kinda grassy too. :/
Can someone tell me how and where to send a sample?
I like to use Equi-analytical. Equi-Analytical Laboratories - Profiling Feed for Better Nutrition
If you go to their site you can find out how to take a sample and where to send it. I would contact them first and get them to send you a sample kit (it will have the forms you need and a baggie to put the sample in) Good luck!
Thank you so much!
Er, do you HAVE to have the probe in order to do it? :(
